My Picture of the Day #28 is of the fabric I’m going to use for my next Quilt Along.
Ambleside (one of my most favorite) and a White Moda Jelly Roll.
I ask the members of my Chic n Scratch Quilt Along Facebook Group “what quilt would they suggest I make for the next quilt along” and one of them suggested the Log Cabin.
I Googled it this morning and holy cow … there’s a lot of pictures and patterns on a log cabin quilt!! The first one started with a 2-1/2 block … another one started with a 4″ block (or was it 4.5?).
Here’s the plan … I’m going to make one real quick and when I’ve mastered it… I’ll start the Quilt Along. I do have a few concerns … the block is crazy busy for my style … but I’m thinking with the right fabric I can handle it. We shall see 🙂 The scary thing is … what if this one looks fantastic when I finish it and then the fabric I choose for the next one does not :O
Good night!

Hi Angie,
The log cabin quilt is a pretty style. I think you should give it a try. Have a nice day.

Log cabin is one of my favorite to quilt. So many ways to pattern it, and once you get the hang of it the sewing goes really fast.
