The butterfly Quilt is almost complete!
I started sewing the blocks to each other last night (or was it this morning) and next is sewing the rows together.
I’m filming a video of each step … and the process is taking me longer!!
I’ll be adding a voiceover to all the videos … because the noise around our house is CRAZY!
Quick post today … must film three paper crafting videos real quick.
See ya!
p..s sorry about the lighting in picture … I forgot I had a filter on my phone and by the time I realized it …. I had already started sewing my blocks.

I’m looking forward to those videos. Did you fuse these butterflies or are they all sewn on? Did you use the SU butterfly framelit/thinlit? Sorry, I am too impatient to wait for the video for answers. 🙂 I used the circle framelits for this quilt. It worked surprisingly well.

Hi Heather,
The butterflies have raw edges and I used a glue stick to attach them to a 10″ square and then I sewed around each of them.
I used the AccuQuilt Critters Die to cut the butterflies (four at a time).
Your quilt looks beautiful!

Thank you, Angie. It was my first time doing Dresdens. They were much easier than I feared they would be. I modified a tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Company. I’ve been on the fence about the AccuQuilt, mostly because of the cost. If I see the critters die though, it might push me over the edge. I recently found out I am going to have a niece in October and I think butterflies would be so sweet for her first quilt. <3

I love you, keep up the good work. For your quilts how many jelly rolls do you buy and for the backing and the binding how much material do you get.
My daughter is going though the same thing but her in her lower back and neck. She went for her first injection last week.
God Bless!
