Picture of the Day #44 is of my dinner.

I’m not sure if this picture looks good or not … but … it was actually very tasty.

I buy a Rotisserie chicken from the grocery store every few days and I try to find creative ways to eat it.

My latest is….

I heated 3 ounces of the chicken in the microwave, squeezed fresh lemon over it.  Added it to one cup of this Confetti slaw (I picked the carrots out and gave them to Skittles and Bella).   I mixed a tablespoon of Olive Oil with a tablespoon of Vinegar in a bowl and then poured it over the chicken and slaw …. added salt and pepper and another small squeeze of a lemon.

It was very yummy!!

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing another picture of Skittles … Brooke had a photo shoot with her today 🙂

It’s been nice having her back in the house this weekend!  Brooke and I had a serious chat today about maybe getting our own bird??

My picture of the Day #41 is what I’m working on today (in my spare time).

Actually I have 6 videos that have to be filmed today!! So, I can edit tomorrow …. but the noise outside is hindering me from recording.   I love my neighborhood, and we choose it for the people …. but, on days like today, I say I want to move!!!

Back to the darling fabric …. I am making another Log Cabin Quilt …. (my way) except this time … I’m going to try to not place the fabric where I want it … just a hodgepodge of strips.

I am afraid I may not like it but I need to see how it looks with careful planning verses not careful planning.

The reason is …. when I was looking for new fabric for the Quilt Along … I found very few that would work like the Ambleside Fabric … or maybe I didn’t look hard enough.  With the Ambleside …. I had four color blocks (pink, blue, green, gray) … and each used 8 patterns of fabric.  8 x 4 = 32 strips … LOL   Now look at the fabric above …. it can’t be done.  There isn’t 8 fabrics of blue or 8 fabrics of gold/yellow … hence the reason why I’m going hodgepodge.

After typing all that … you see why I don’t sleep much … I over think  just about everything.  I’m not complaining …. I tell my kids it’s worked in my benefit (I think).

Here’s some more math for ya ….  I’m using the entire jelly roll this time!

  • 5″ Blocks – 24 – vanilla charm pack
  • 2-1/2 x 7 – 48
  • 2-1/2 x 9 – 48
  • 2-1/2 x 11 – 48
  • 2-1/2 x 13 – 24
  • + sashing – Vanilla jelly roll

Picture of the Day #41 is of a box of Protein Bars.

And the reason I’m sharing them is because I was terrified that they  were the culprit for me not losing weight this week … turns out I did lose weight!!

Last week I discovered that I was not eating all the protein I’m allowed … so the lady suggested some protein snacks to help me get all my calories.

So, I bought a box of these … only one because I don’t do protein bars or breakfast bars…. that is until now.   Even though it lists milk on the back of the box…. it doesn’t affect me …. and it’s the only thing sweet I’ve eaten in almost three weeks.

At my weigh in today, I have officially lost 12 pounds in less than three weeks.

If I continue to lose 3 pounds a week, I could be at my first goal weight by summer.  That motivates me even more!!
