If you’re wondering if Google Wifi works …. it does!!!
Over the past couple months our wireless signal (in our house) slowed to a crawl! And my neighbor shared with me that they bought the Google Wifi. Say what? I’d never heard of it … but I ordered it anyway.
I installed it last week and it works!! Yay!!! I have a strong signal on all three levels of our house (main, upper and basement).

My latest adventure is ….. I decided to finally break down and buy a camera boom 🙂
Are you scratching your head wondering what the heck is a Camera Boom?
It’s easier to post a picture (I borrowed this picture from online)
What it will do is allow me to film videos from up high and in low spots. Meaning when I cut fabric I can raise the camera above my head … and when I’m at my sewing machine I can lower it. I’m super excited!!
When I film my paper crafting videos I have a camera that hangs over my desk ….but that area doesn’t work for fabric because the desk is small and I need a much larger area to cut fabric.
It going to take a few weeks to arrive (maybe even three) …. so we’ll probably finish the Lulu Roses Quilt before it arrives.

I love Facebook …. seriously I do …… as well as my friends … but the event invites that come across my phone in the middle of the night are driving me crazy! My iPhone is set up to turn off sounds …. but I don’t turn everything off because my children may need me. Plus my sister was in a really bad car wreck on Christmas Eve (many years ago) and I did not know until the next morning because the phones were off … I’ll never do that again!
And lets admit it .. there are some people that invite you to everything …..I’m not sure if it’s intentional of if they’re not aware of what they are doing …anyway I decided to fix it when I got up this morning.
So, here ya go ….,,
1. Click on Privacy Shortcuts (upper right corner … notice the lock).
2. Click on See More Settings (at the bottom … in bold font)
3. Click on Blocking
4. Add friends name to Block Event Invites (this makes me feel bad to actually type a friends name …but at the same time the phone beside my bed glowing like a beacon at 2am justifies it.)
You can also Block Games (It’s actually called Block Apps) on that same page (I’m happy to say I get very few of them now).
If you’re not on Facebook I hope I haven’t scared you off …. I really do love it …but there are parts that are very annoying … but there’s usually always a fix …. you just gotta find it!

p.s. I may have failed to say this but when you block someone … they are not aware of it (thank goodness) …. meaning Facebook does not send them a notice.
