Happy New Year!!
I can’t believe it’s been five months since my last post. I could go into all the crazy things that were thrown my way but I guess this is the new normal. Our life, crazy busy all the time. Which leads me to why I haven’t made a quilt in months.
Every day I say to myself “if I get everything on my to do list complete (work related) … I will play with some fabric“. Well, that isn’t going to happen. As hard as I’ve tried … I’ve set unrealistic expectations!!
So, each week I’m going to carve out some Angie time and no matter what email I get or comment thrown my way … I’m going to take a mental break. We can call it “Angie time” or “playing with fabric time”.
It’s not that I don’t still love stamping, I do, but if I try to stamp for pure joy … it brings me back to what I should be doing for work. I’m not sure why I feel so guilty for not working 24/7 but I do.
So, does this all mean I’ll have more quilting videos in 2018 … I’m not sure. I’m taking it day by day and I’d like to say yes … but, Chase proposed to Jessica and it looks like we’ll be having a wedding this year. I’m very excited and also freaking out!!
Here’s the fabric for the next quilt (Riley Blake, Lucky Star by Zoe Pearn Designs)… all cut and ready to sew!
I was going to film the making of this one …but it’s a gift and I need to get it made sooner rather than later so I’ve chosen another pattern of fabric to film the making.
Have a great day!!

Hi Angie,
Everyone needs me time. Your very dedicated to your work and that’s great. I to haven’t found time to quilt and miss it.
So together we can make a pack that we will find time for ourselves. We deserve it.
Congratulations to Chase and Jessica.

How exciting–congrats to Chase and Jessica. I love that you are taking time out to sew.
It is such a rewarding experience to see something you made yourself and is going to be
a blessing to someone else. Making one for Chase & Jessica would be a wonderful present!

We all forget to take some “me” time. We are so busy working and doing for everyone else, we forget about ourselves. So happy for you all. Congratulations, many blessings.

Hi, I’ve only just come across you on YouTube, and just wanted say how pleased I am that I have. I’m a very very newbie, still to do any cuts or sewing. I have however bought myself a new sewing machine☺. Naughty really as I’m off work with chronic back pain But, taking a interest in quilting has kept me sane.
You should not feel guilty about having some me time. You will feel better about everything else if you take some time for yourself. Going to look through some more tutorials now. You explain things so clearly, I think established quilters forget that newbies have to be shown and be given clear instructions. I apologise for going on, but I needed to say things. Take care of yourself, kind regards Angela )living in Norfolk, England

Hi Angie! I hope you’ll remember me from my Stamping Up! Days. I’m Susan Gentile, aka PaperCraftLady, aka its_me_susan. I had to back away from SU after a serious whiplash injury & lost my demo-ship (i sure miss the demo areas of SU & the friends I had there). I’ve been a big fan of yours, and am soooo excited that you are SEWING now too! I remember your SU fabric rag bags! I started a monthly School off Sewing class 2-1/2 years ago & love sewing quick projects. I recently started delving into quilts and was sooo excited to find your YouTube videos! You are a master at teaching! So well done, that I plan to do one of your quilt alongs. ? I also started eating keto (also known as the fibromyalgia diet, etc) and feel better & less flared than in the past. I read you’ve been experiencing some health issues & am saddened to hear that. If they are in the realm of chronic pain or autoimmune disease area, please feel free to reach out to me. I’ve found many ways of living happily despite these difficult challenges and would love to reconnect. I hope you’ll be up to creating more sew along videos. You just really have a special talent and the right personality for them. ? You are a star
