I’m going to make one more Fat Quarter Quilt using the Fat Quarter Quilt Along pattern.
And then I’m moving on to my next idea (also using Fat Quarters).
If you’re like me ….
- you have maybe a hundred or so Fat Quarters … how can you resist buying them when they’re so cute and affordable?
- you never make anything with them.
So, my focus for this month is using those Fat Quarters!!
Here’s the fabric for my purple version … using From Bump to Baby Fabric.

Angie have enjoyed all your beautiful quilts. Where did you buy these fabrics. Would like to buy some but can’t seem to find them. I have learned so much from your videos thank you so much for all you share and teach. Anxious to see the finish creation.

Hi Raquel, I bought the fabric when I was at Missouri Quilt Company earlier this spring. Sadly fabric comes and goes faster than anything I’ve seen! Almost all the fabric I have in my house is no longer available. I just bought some Christmas fabric so that I can use a current fabric … but I bet it will be sold out soon!

Thank you Angie. Oh well it was not meant to be. The fabric is beautiful. Take care.

Hi Angie,
I would like to know what thread you use to sew your quilts with if you don’t mind me asking.
I am using a coats and clark 100% polyester and I just found out that polyester will tare your quilt over time because it doesn’t break down like cotton. I used this because it didn’t give me lint build up on my machine. So many threads not sure what to really use to sew with. I just finished a simple sew together quilt using a jelly roll Welcome Home and I went to order backing from MSQ and most of the matching yardage for that is sold out. I did get to choose one in the teal with roses. Your right, fabric is like fashions, it comes and goes.
Your quilts are turning out beautiful.
Have a nice day.

Hey Lesa, I use Aurifil thread (50 weight). I resisted buying it for many months and I kept seeing it online … so I finally tried it and found that when I made the Jelly Roll Quilt I only needed one bobbin of thread … verses three. That sold me right there!! Have a good day!

Thank You,
Off to buy some.
