To make the Jelly Roll Quilt you need:
- One Jelly Roll (40 strips of fabric that measure 2.5 x 44)
- Matching Thread (you need two full bobbins)
- Scissors
- Sewing Machine
The Jelly Roll Quilts measure approximately 54 x 64.
To finish the quilt:
- Buy the backing fabric and binding fabric
- Take to longarm quilter
The fabric I used was Miss Kate by Moda Fabric.
I purchase my fabric online at two places … and locally at two places.
I’ll share a picture once I get it from the longarm quilter.
I am working on a video of all the supplies you need to get started with quilting (later this week).
See ya!
p.s. My assistant is working on an instruction sheet for the quilt … I’ll update this post when it’s ready.
Wow Angie!! I really would love to start one of this beautiful quilt. Would I find the roll at any fabric store-or do I need to find a specialty store that would have the roll? You make it look so easy but I hope if I do try – mine would look more like a crooked road!! Ha!! Thanks for any suggestions you can share.
This is beautiful! Where do we find the Jelly rolls? Or, can you make your own? How does that work? You make it look sooooo easy! Also, is it possible to make a Quillow out of one of these?
Thanks!!!
Gabrielle
You can find Jelly Rolls at fabric stores that carry Pre-cuts. I buy most of mine online (the stores carry a very small selection). Check out Fat Quarter Shop and Missouri Quilt Company.
Hi Angie! Thank you so much for sharing the video and information on fabric! Love this!
Praying that you will be feeling better soon.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the simplicity of the construction. I have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
Makes me want to dust off my machine!!
Do you ever stop???? Hate to see what you could do with strong health! Take it easy once in a while 🙂
You are amazing.
hey there ….. I am just like my father and neither of us know how to stop. It’s safe to say that I would go crazy doing nothing! A few weeks ago (when I was experiencing the worst pain of all) I did think to myself maybe I better just lay down … and after two days of it I decided it’s more painful to do nothing. Thanks for making me laugh today 🙂
How big is a jelly roll quilt?
