Labor Day Weekend

September 6, 2015 by Angie 4 Comments

It’s Labor Day weekend and I’m working on a quilt.

What are you up to?

I have a list of quilts I need to complete in time for Christmas and the one I’m working on today ….is for one of my nephews.

I hope it turns out okay ….I’m a tad worried …. The fabric is somewhat busy.  But … that’s one of the cool things about a jelly roll quilt ….you never know what it’s going to look like until the very end.

See ya!

Your sewing machine is so pretty! What is her name? I’m adding borders to my quilt today. It’s a beautifully rainy day here in Washington. Perfect sewing weather.

    Hi Angie,
Do you have to square up your jelly roll quilt top after you sew all the strips together? Your quilts have turned out beautiful.Have a nice day.

I haven’t been on your site for a long while. Just fighting depression and facing retirement got the best of me. I’m fine now and fighting to get back doing the things I love. I love quilting. I’m so glad to see you kept it up and are doing wonderful making quilts. I’m going to make a few cards as well as quilt. Gave away a lot of my stuff when things were not going so well but I’ve slowly got some back. I don’t want a room full of crafts that I can never finish. Just want to quilt, knit, and make cards. I have been checking out Chic n Scratch again. AND I’m loving your blog. Hope all is well with you. It seems silly to say because I’m in NC and I’ve never met you but I’ve missed you. You are so talented and I look forward to checking out what you’re doing.

    See you soon!
