Mixed Bag Quilt

The Mixed Bag Quilt is finished and ready for the longarm quilter.

I’ll take it to the fabric store to match the backing fabric and then deliver it to Shirley.

The next time you see it … it will be finished.

If my memory serves me right it took about 5 days to make … and that was working only a few minutes/hours here and there.

I’ve mentioned several times that sewing calms me and makes me very relaxed  …. so when I developed the whopper headache I decided to sew… and I discovered something.   The starch I use has Lavender  ….. Holy Cow … is that why it relaxes me?  I’ll have to test the Lavender Oil in my diffuser….I’ll  be sure to let you know what I discover.

Quilting Videos … I’ve had more than one person request how to quilt videos (thank you).  The answer is YES I will film some videos for you.   I have three quilt videos on my to do list … and the minute I feel well enough to do them I will.  The Layer Cake Quilt is one of them.

See ya!

WOW! Another beautiful creation. I really am thinking of trying this but I am thinking mine would look like a very crooked quilt. Lavender is an oil that does calm the system. I use it at night to relax and get some sleep–and it has helped me with my headaches. Glad to see that you created as a form of therapy–it does help. Take care and thanks for sharing this beautiful quilt.

With the colors in your quilt you can use just about any color for your back fabric! Very nice quilt.
