My picture of the Day #33 is of the Macbook Pro that Laura had used for the past three years.
I’m giving it a tune up before I give it to Lesli tomorrow (my new assistant).
Gotta run … lots to do before I can go to bed!
See ya tomorrow!

Picture of the Day #32 is of my dinner!
I can have veggies on my diet this week and thank goodness snow peas are the list!
I like very few non starchy veggies.
I can also have two fats a day so I used some Olive Oil to cook them (my other fat was almonds).
The random stuff you see on my plate … is some Pico de Gallo.
Tomorrow is Laura’s last day to work as my assistant …. it’s going to be super emotional for me. I HATE goodbyes … and even though we’ll remain friends … it will be different! I will truly miss her!!!
Have a goodnight!

Picture of the Day #30 is the start to my fabric organization!!!
In between my calls today I worked on my fabric organization (five minutes here, 10 minutes there).
I was able to get several stacks done (about 8 of these) and I’m not close to being done :O
Tuesday’s are downline days … I’ve been on the phone since 9am and I’m done for the day. I’m not sure why but I’m exhausted! I wanted to spend a few hours on my fabric tonight … but the bath and bed is calling my name!
See ya tomorrow!!

Picture of the day #30 is my test block for the Log Cabin Quilt Along.
Let me explain my thoughts … I LOVE white, it’s my favorite color and I had to find a way to get white in a log cabin quilt.
At first I was thinking I would start with a 2-1/2 square … but then it wasn’t enough white (yes, I already cut 12 of them). Then it hit me … I could use a white charm pack – 5″ squares already cut for me!!
Since I’m a visual person I had to see it to make sure it would work. I put the 5″ square in the middle and then built it out. I don’t have measurements because just getting to a square took me a while (there is an order to placing those pieces and everyone has a different way to do it!!). If my memory serves me right, I added to the top, then the left … bottom and right .. but don’t write that down because I could be wrong!
I’m still going to use a Jelly Roll … I plan on adding sashing between the rows …. but … I’m saying all this in my head … until I see it I have no clue.
Here’s the other thing I’m thinking … all the blocks are going to be color coordinated (I think). So, on this block… it’s all grays … on other one it will be all pinks, the next block all blues, and then greens. The only problem with this is what if the Jelly roll you use doesn’t have a bunch of colors? Maybe I’m over thinking it!!
My last thought … I wish we had bigger strips than 2-1/2 … we need a Jelly Roll Jumbo size 🙂 What I mean is, I’m using a Jelly roll because it saves my arms and shoulders from cutting fabric… But I wish the strips were wider than 2-1/2. Like 3-1/2 or 4″ … I thought about using a Jolly Bar … but I can’t because they measure 5 x 10 🙁 Oh well, we’ll stick with 2-1/2 for this first one!
If I update my fabric list for the Log Cabin Quilt Along … it’s an Ambleside Jelly Roll, White Moda Charm Park, White Jelly Roll.
I have more work to do on chic n scratch tonight… so I gotta run!
Have a good night!
