Quilts In Process

I’m working on two quilts at the moment ….

I’m wrapping up Kim’s quilt … just need to finish ironing the rows and attach them.

The 2nd quilt is … I’m filming a video on how to make the Butterfly Quilt … I’m half way done.  Thank you for requesting it!!

I’m about to start a third quilt.

I woke up with an idea … and I’ll admit  I’m a tad afraid!!   I may not be thinking it all the way through … but you never know.

I’m looking for another Go To Quilt … I’ve done so many Jelly Roll Race Quilts that I could do them in my sleep …. and I’m looking for another one …. one that is so easy you don’t have to look at the instructions.    If my idea works …. I’ll have two go to quilts!

Next month I’m traveling to Saint George, Utah for Founders Circle and I’ve decided to take my sewing machine.   I can talk and sew at the same time!!

See ya!

I love your quilts. You have tempted me many times to take this up but I really hate sewing. So I have to talk myself out of it! But I do enjoy seeing what patterns you come up with.

Angie, I love quilting. I taught my daughter to quilt and she has made
some beautiful quilts. I am so anxious to see your video on the butterfly
quilt–it is so pretty. Keep up the good work!

Your butterfly quilt is really nice. I made a quilt for my friend’s cat (I know, it sounds weird) and used hearts sort of like you used the butterfly. For my template, I traced the bottom of a wooden heart I have onto the back of the fusible and then onto 5″ squares with 1″ sashing in between the squares and rows. I used fabric with cat paws for the backing of the quilt. Of course, this is much smaller than yours, but the recipient seems to like it. I’m going to do another for a dog (large dog) and fabric with dog bones for the backing. The idea came from various friends that are cat/dog lovers.

Keep up the good work — you are very inspiring.
