I honestly have no clue how it’s Saturday … this week has flown by and I’ve accomplished very little!
Grrrrr
But … I will say personally it’s been a week for family stuff. We started with Brooke’s 21st birthday … that day was so full of activity … it went on for so long that I thought Tuesday was Wednesday (does that even make sense?). Then it was tax day …. we always wait until the very last minute because who wants to write a check early?
Next … Chase has been interviewing for jobs … and for some it may not be a big deal … in our house it is. His college held a career fair and he did very well … he had four interviews and four offers. He officially accepted an offer yesterday and starts in May. Words can not express how proud I am!!
Health wise … I have decided to start walking every day … because some have said that maybe my lack of physical activity could be my problem. It’s been over a week ….. the walking is not helping the pain …. in fact it’s making the pain worse. But …. I will continue … and hopefully over time it may help. My next appointment is with KU Medical on April 30th. One thing I will say is I am trying really hard to just push through the pain. Right before my live stream last night I was wishing I had not scheduled it (only because of the pain) but when the camera turned on and I was in the moment the pain was less severe.
Let’s end this blog post with something fun!!! The picture below is of some new fabric …
It’s the Ambleside Jelly Roll Brenda Riddle Designs for Moda Fabrics and I’ll be making another Jelly Roll Quilt. In fact I’m thinking this will be the fabric for my next Quilt Along on Chic n Clique.
I bought two Jelly Rolls and when I got home Brooke spoke for one of them immediately … so I need to buy another one!
I hope you’re having a great week … I’m sorry I haven’t posted much!! Maybe next week I can get caught back up in my house and my business!!
See ya!

I have bad sciatica attacks and all I really want to do is sit in a chair! So, instead I get up and walk and over time this therapy does work! The attack eases in pain and duration. The more I move the better it is. I hope this works for you too! Good Luck! Your jelly roll fabric is lovely.

How did you get started in quilting? Now that I am retired I would like to learn how to quilt. Thanks

I agree Angie, my son has been looking for a job for a while now. He’s worked seasonal and part-time. It’s so hard for young people now a days. Have you tried swimming? I heard that is a big help with certain things. Well, hopefully, they will pinpoint what it is so it can be treated. You don’t want to do things that make it worse. I know I have such tightness in my neck and shoulder area, I’ve tried physical therapy, chiropractors, massages, acupuncture. I think what I need is to do stretches to get flexible. I bought yoga blocks and am going to start doing the stretches. I also have a walking tape that is 3 miles so I try to do that. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I really need to force myself to get out and walk. 🙂
