Here are the final pictures for Daddy’s quilt …. photography by Brooke Juda.

The next picture is the one that Brooke took using her professional backdrop and lights (Nikon D5100 with 50mm prime lens).

The picture looks good …but we’re still not there .. I believe we will need to use a wall so that the quilt is flat … only catch is we don’t have a full wall anywhere on the main level of our house … and our upstairs doesn’t have an empty wall ….due to furniture …etc.  I swear things are never easy ….. but as most of you know I do not give up!!  I will figure out something!!

March is our birthday month over on Chic n Clique and we’re having a quilt along with this quilt … I can’t wait to see how many people participate!!

Here are the blog posts where I referenced making this quilt (first it was called layer cake quilt and then daddy’s quilt .. technically it is a Layer Cake Quilt).

  • Layer Cake Quilt 1 Diagram
  • Layer Cake Quilt Top Complete

See ya!

p.s. I was finally able to sleep last night … I still have a major cough … but the meds are working.  Rumor has it that the meds should give me fake energy … still waiting to experience that!!  LOL

This is to make you laugh. (I hope) You can put it flat on the ceiling. Are they white?
Anyway, I really like the quilts you have made . Great job Brooke on the photos.

Lesa, yes our ceilings are white …but … I’m not sure I trust myself to climb a ladder (Brooke shares my 2 left feet thing). Thanks for the suggestion … and the laugh 🙂
