Picture of the Day #29 is how I’m reorganizing all my yardage fabric.
I have more fabric than I’d care to admit and organizing it has become a thorn in my side!!
I want it to look pretty on my Ikea shelves, but it does not!
I did some research several months back and one lady had an awesome system … but the product she was using required cutting and something else … can’t remember why I moved on.
So, fast forward to yesterday … I reorganized one side of my stamping studio and that made me think about my fabric again. All the pre-cuts (jelly rolls, layer cakes, charm packs, honey buns, jolly bars, stackers, etc) look pretty on my shelf … yardage does not. I happened upon a system just like what I saw several months ago … but this time it’s cheaper and there’s no cutting involved.
I can’t wait to get all my yardage done!!! I have a feeling when I get the supplies to do it I may be pulling a couple all nighters!!
I’ll share all my fabric, the product I ordered and my shelves when I’m done. I may or may not take a before and after picture. (I’m kinda embarrassed it’s gotten so out of control!!!)
Have a good night!

Hi Angie,
Fabric is such an easy thing to collect. There is so many cute styles. I’ve decided to stick with pre cuts and use up what I have because like my stamps and not just Stampin’Up I have a ton.
I love fabric just as much as my stamps.
Looking forward to your creative storage solution. Mine is just in a storage box .

First of all that yardage is too stinkin’ cute!!! How could you resist?!! I bet your “messy” before is no worse than the rest of ours. I’m looking forward to seeing what you new solution is. My sewing room could use a good organization system, and I have no idea what to do with my yardage besides fold it and stack it on shelves.

Please take a before picture. It might inspire a lot of us to organize our fabric stash. Your stash cannot be more unorganized than many of us have. Thanks in advance for taking before and after pictures
