Modern Folkloric Double Scoops

March 24, 2015 by Angie 4 Comments

My picture today is some new fabric …. it’s the Modern Folkloric Double Scoops.

I get super excited when new fabric arrives in this house!!    Much like how I feel when I receive product from a NEW Stampin’ Up! Catalog (new catalog is in a few months and the excitement is starting).

This beautiful fabric is for a friend that is going through a painful situation at the moment… I won’t mention any names but we’ve been friends for many years!   Her and her hubby are so  kinda & delightful!!  I pray for her family every night and several times a day. I hope a jelly roll quilt will bring her some comfort!! (I hope I can get it completed in the next 30 days.)

I’ve not touched my sewing much this month …. with the exception of the Layer Cake Quilt Along (I’m behind) and I miss it something terribly.  I should have sewn yesterday …. it was one of those days that everything went wrong!!

Blog Candy Winner

Congrats Diane T!! your name was drawn to win the  Layer Cake. Please email Laura your mailing address and we’ll get it in the mail asap (admin@mychicnscratch.net).  I use a random number generator to choose the winner.

Oh boy, that will make a nice jelly roll quilt, love the colors. Hope you are feeling well these days. I’m sure you’ll get it done by the end of April, your friend will love it whenever she gets it no matter when you give it to her. Love you and your kind spirit. Vikki L.

Angie , you are amazing. With all your health problems you still have time to think and do for others. Your quilts are amazing , as are your paper creations.

That is going to make a beautiful quilt. Can’t wait to see it when it is finished. I know your friend will love it. Where did you buy the material?

      Hey Diana,
I bought the Double Scoops at Missouri Quilt Company and I bought the backing fabric at Fabric.com (they didn’t have yardage at Missouri Quilt Co).
