I am a member of chic and clique and read all your blogs . YOU got me just started in quilting with your Miss Kate jelly roll quilt . I made it and it’s just lime yours . I bought all the stuff for your quilt along also but I’m on vacation so will do it when I get back . I had a friend me and I did the backing also and even quilted it right on the machine . I have bought so much fabric it would make your head spin and sewing supplies and 3 of the turquoise carts . I tend to go overboard just like I do with stamping . Anyway I’d love to win as I never won a thing in my life and I’m 60 so it’s time . Lol

I have followed you on chic n scratch for a few years and have enjoyed your projects. I started looking at the quilting when you posted some of your projects. I have been quilting for about 5 years. I have made several jelly roll quilts and a few other types as well. I noticed that you are posting on the new MSQ site Quiltsbyme. I have posted a couple of my quilts as well. My advise about long arms is to go to a quilt convention where they have booths where you can try them out. I have done quilting on my machine but long arms definitely have advantages. Hope you can get your health problems in hand.

I read your chic n scratch blog and have ordered Stampin Up! from you. However, I also sew/ quilt ( although I usually tie my quilts) so I enjoy this blog as well. I also enjoy when you share personal stuff, whether health, family, doggie, goal setting, etc. Many thanks for sharing.

    Hi Angie,
I am sorry to hear Brooke is still not well. This season it has been a
really bad strain(s) going around, as you know. Angie, I hope you
won’t get upset if I give you some advise. Wash your hands really
well, clean your door knobs, phones, keyboards, etc. Being on the
Prednisone weakens your Immune System leaving you venerable.
Thanks for sharing your quilts with us. Your pics are just fine!

I started with chic n scratch which has been a couple of years and of course it led me to chic clique just love it. I do sew but have never did a quilt. What a awesome teacher. I don’t think I would have ever started this one if it wasn’t for the fact it was easy learning with you. Thanks so much for all your cards,3D projects and wow the quilting amazing. Can’t wait to see my results. Hope you’ll do another one in soon. Keep feeling better and I hope Brooke gets better too.

    Hi Angie,

I took sewing in junior high and high school and have been sewing ever since. Made a lot of my clothes and girls clothes when they were little. Sewing is my therapy. Over the past several years I have been sewing quilts. Have made baby quilts for showers, I am making quilts for Christmas presents. As each of my grandkids turn 16, they get a quilt. I put labels on back so they know it was for sweet 16 birthday.
I have followed your blog for years and I am on chic n clique.

Before stamping I was a quilter. When I found stamping I realized how obsessive and over the top I was with quilting. Now I have replaced one addiction with another. Being that I still belong to several quilt guilds guess I’m a quilting stamper.

    Hi Julie!!
I have been a follower of your Chic n Scratch blog for a very long time (love it) and have only met you once at Ronda’s retreat. I had no idea you were a quilter and always wondered when I saw pictures on your other blog. I made quilts when my girls were babies and now that I have 3 great-grandchildren, I am just now starting to try it again (they have begged and whined long enough). This material would be awesome for my great-grandson (and so age appropriate for an almost 3 yr. old). Thanks for offering a chance to win and now I have to check out the rest of this blog for ideas/help!!

I do not want the blog candy, it needs to go to someone who will use and enjoy it. Am continuing to pray for your health. Blessings to you and your family.

I feel like I have been sewing all my life. My mom use to make all my clothes. BUT quilting scares the heck out of me. After I saw how easy the jelly roll looked I tried it and it was easy. Now the rest is either hard or expensive. I’m wondering if I will ever finish my quilt. Thanks for all your inspiration!!

Hola, I started quilting in Girl scouts and every square we did was by hand stitching our leader did not wanted us to experience quilting depending on a sewing machine. I remember her fondly but since I pick up up quilting again last year I have to confess I love my sewing machine…LOL. Thanks for taking the time to share your love with us…smooches
