Picture of the Day 13

January 13, 2017 by Angie 3 Comments

My Picture of the Day #13 is of the bread aisle at Walmart … on Friday 13th, in Olathe Kansas!

I knew it was going to be this way considering I didn’t get there until 8:45pm….  but it was still shocking to see!

Yes, that is my cart in the picture … if you look real closely you will see a scarf, gloves and some coffee mate creamer and some soup… priorities!!!  (The extra gloves are for Brooke’s car …. just in case she has to go to work tomorrow.

s

Not to worry …I managed to get a loaf of Sour Dough bread and that will hold us until it warms up on Monday!!

The freezing rain or ice has officially started.  It spit a little this morning … and then it quit.

When I went into Walmart, nothing was happening … when I came out … the freezing rain had started.

I’m exhausted beyond words …. headed to bed.

XOXO

    Hi Angie,
I have never seen anything like that. I work at a retail store and it get’s very busy when snow/ice is forecasted. Milk, eggs and bread are always a staple item that get’s hit the most.
These items don’t have a long shelf life so it’s hard to keep them in stock because one cannot predict what area will get the ice and snow and then the store would end up with extras that could expire and go to waste. Hopefully the ice will clear up soon.
Have fun with all the new SU products. Looks like fun.

Yeah, whenever we are expecting a storm, people swarm to get things. Can’t do major shopping just in case you lose electricity. Hope the weather clears soon.
