  • 4-1/2 Yards of Backing Fabric
  • 1/2 Yard of Binding Fabric

In this video:

  1. Unroll Jelly Roll and keep the strips in the order they arrived.
  2. Trim salvage on the end of each strip.
  3. Cut 18 inches off the very last strip.

If you are reading this in your email …. please  visit my website to access the video.

In our next video we’ll sew the strips together  (please wait if you’ve not done this type of quilt …. the strips are not sewn together the way you think).

Design Wall

November 1, 2015 by Angie 1 Comment

When I’m making a Quilt I use a Design Wall to make sure it’s going to look good …. before I start sewing.

There are many options for a Design Wall …but the one I’m currently using is a Sturdy Board with a Vinyl Tablecloth (the backside of the tablecloth).

The Sturdy Board was purchase at Office Max or Office Depot and it measures 40 x 60.

I covered it with the tablecloth and attached it with Binder Clips.

Your other option is the Fons & Porter Design Wall (Joann’s or Amazon).

Here’s the Video …

Thanks!
